Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to formulate strategies and policy recommendations to strengthen the readiness of young people in Bekasi Regency to face the transition to the job market. The readiness of young people, especially graduates of Senior High Schools, requires attention, considering that based on data from the West Java Provincial Education Office, their absorption in the job market still needs to be considered high. Ironically, the Bekasi Regency area has 11 industrial areas with more than 7,000 companies, which open up abundant employment opportunities. This study uses a combination of qualitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study recommend strategies that can be applied to improve the readiness of young people to face the transition to the job market, namely institutional strengthening strategies, graduate quality strengthening strategies, alternative job creation strategies, and budget strengthening strategies.
