Strategi Penguatan Ekosistem UMKM yang Berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Bekasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT

UMKM play an important role in the economy, with the aim of creating jobs, increasing income, reducing poverty, and promoting national economic growth. Despite their great potential, the development of UMKM in Bekasi Regency is still hampered by various obstacles, such as issues related to data collection, licensing, production, marketing, human resources, and capital access. Therefore, a comprehensive study is needed to develop UMKM in an integrated manner, which can serve as a guideline for the Bekasi Regency Government in enhancing the competitiveness and independence of UMKM in the region. Strategic steps for micro-business actors and the Bekasi Regency Government in developing micro-enterprises include improving access to capital through more accessible credit programs and providing financial management training. The government can organize skills training and promote the use of technology to enhance competitiveness. Based on the characteristics of Micro Enterprises and their actors spread across Bekasi Regency, several empowerment and development models can be applied in the form of formal and permanent institutions. By implementing these models, the empowerment and development of UMKM in Bekasi Regency can be carried out in a more structured and effective manner to support business growth and increase the contribution of UMKM to the local economy. These models include institutional approaches such as: industrial centers, clusters, business groups, incubators, Integrated Business Service Centers (PLUT), Productive Economic Enterprises – Joint Business Groups (UEP-KUBE), Regional Superior Product Promotion Centers, and Culinary and Souvenir Centers..
